“It takes innovation from many, many different angles to make a real difference. One size doesn’t fit all, we need to try many different options to find the one that is right for the product. We’re just at the beginning, we’re just getting started...” - Senami, Head of Design for Sustainability

A journey to remove plastic
We’re constantly innovating to remove plastic from our packaging, while keeping the product protected and giving people a great packaging experience.

Reducing waste
We’re committed to removing single-use plastic wherever possible, to reduce waste and make recycling straightforward. Switching a lot of our packaging from plastic to paper means it’s more likely to be recycled when someone puts it in the bin.

Bye-bye, plastic clamshells
Our transition from plastic clamshells to paper packaging for mice is nearly complete. This change is estimated to eliminate 660 tons of plastic and decrease CO2 emissions by 6,000 tons annually, which is comparable to removing over 37 million single-use plastic water bottles each year.
